There is no spoon.
The lobby scene ranks right up there with some of the best gun fight scenes of all time. Only a few Chun Yun-Fat (specifically, the end of The Killers and some scenes in Hard Boiled) may be better, but they don’t really have the sound quality the Matrix does.
I LOVE Trinity’s vampire-like expression here!
The elevator ride is great too.
The Calamari drop in to say, “Howaya!”
From a cyberpunk perspective, the pod scene is definitely one of the many highlights.
The “What is Real?” conversation is the highpoint from a philosophical perspective.
Anyone know how much Duracell paid for this placement? Then again I don’t know that it wants to be known as the battery people die to become!
Trinity’s explosion scene is sweet!
This was a fun, fun fight. Most don’t realize that Reeves had neck surgery 3 weeks before shooting. That he was able to kick at all is amazing.
That’s gotta hurt!
Hugo Weaving is just a terrific actor. I LOVE his teeth gritting.

If you notice the scene where Morpheus holds up the battery, the brand name of the battery is NOT shown. They deliberately did this to avoid paying Duracell product rights. Watch the scene again. You’ll grin.
