Forums are up (Virtual Meatspace)

The forums are up now and are linked in the Navigation bar. Access and post to the Virtual Meatspace to your hearts content! This is a great place to ask about movies I haven’t yet put reviews up. I have at least 40+ more to go, and have generally left the popular ones like the Matrix movies and so forth out so far. Chances are you all have seen those and have already made up your minds, so I’ve been concentrating mostly on more obscure ones (not all are obscure, obviously).

Also, again, I am looking for other reviewers, especially for other types of cyberpunk media. I would LOVE it if one of you cyberpunk book experts would agree to do something similar for the book world, or the Manga/graphic novel folks, or the art types, etc.

In other news, I’ve moved the site development posts to the right side under Other Blog entries.

There are several problems that I came across while I was using the forum thing.

First off all, guest account is enabled. So when I forget to login I post my messages under this account and it looks weird.

In addition to that I just want to ask how many themes we have on forums. Becuase I can just use Matrix and Deafult one. Although it has eye-killer colors, I perefer using Matrix theme. Will you edit its colors soon :)

Hi Karlo, the Matrix template file isn’t on there. I took it off. It was hosed for the most part - sorry that it’s still an option.

Hi Terminal Reality, the default them I have, while it looks like the Matrix, is really called Alien (this has the trinity graphic). For now I’m only planning to load two (subsilver and the default one). I can add others if people need.

And um, I already edited the colors on the Alien one. :(

I tuned down the bright green significantly, changed the entry from bright green to a light green, and changed the buttons. Does it still seem too much?

Entire green lines seemed kinda bright to me. :( I wonder if you could repalce bright green with softer one.

I did that with the inner green lines. Are they still too bright? I’ll go ahead and do this with the outer ones as well.

That would be good.

Hi Terminal Reality - bad news - in looking into this, the outside lines are actually surrounding graphics (jpegs that also have the red parts on them). This is going to take a lot of work to mod these (bitmap editing). Chances are I won’t be able to get to this for a while. :(

I did get rid of the rest of the white though, which, as a contrast, stands out too much on black I think. Instead I used the pale-green color that I use for my reviews. This seems easier on the eyes.
