Previously in ‘’State Of Decay’’ you played a bunch of civilians who struggled for their lives against zombies. Remember you started in a national park barely without any equipment and asking what happened when you discovered the first dead and Z in a camping site.

If you don’t know the game I recommend you to read the review of this one

New point of view

In this new episode (DLC) ‘’State Of Decay-Lifeline’’ puts you in a different role: Army!

So you start with a small military unit called Greyhound One. Your environment will be a big city named Danforth. This city is already FUBAR (Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition) and packed with Z.

Your main mission is to rescue scientists whose research is vital to combating the outbreak.

Your base is an lifeline baseold strip mall that’s bordered by a wire fence. Soldiers named it ‘’Black Friday’’ because of the crowds of zombies trying to get inside!

And actually you will endure a lot of sieges…The more you have the worse they get! Every soldier is needed and you will consume lots of ammo!

You can set some traps such as mines around the perimeter also. A helicopter landing zone will facilitate supply drops and your Ops Center will enable you to develop tactics and research.

New tactics

You start the game as a well-equipped, well-supported military unit, and then must learn to improvise as one resource after another is depleted…and isn’t coming back.

It’s getting worse and worse after each siege and bad news (Remember that the country is falling apart and you are here just to rescue and not to solve everything). Focus on your missions and try to hold on!

New entertainment!

I really like this new DLC. You have guns, you have supplies and your soldiers are skilled. But it is not enough to take back the city. The city is lost but you can still try your best to save lots of civilians (if you want) and execute your mission.

I prefer also the urban environment There are  so many building with potential dangers that you have to be aware all the time.

I was so stressed during missions than when one of my character arrived on site I made him drive around for several minutes to be sure that he eliminated as many Z he can with his car J

Sometimes I used too much ammo because I was surprised by Z and the noise alerted deadly hordes. Better to go back to your car or 4X4 and drive away!
